I’m so excited to share that Avo Activewear has been named as one of this year’s SmallBiz100!
Each year, Small Business Saturday UK selects just 100 small businesses from across the country to celebrate in the run-up to Small Business Saturday, which takes place this year on 6th December 2025. The campaign is the UK’s most successful initiative of its kind, designed to shine a spotlight on independents, encourage everyone to “shop local”, and support the small businesses that make our communities thrive.
To be chosen out of the millions of small businesses in the UK is a huge honour. When I started Avo Activewear back in 2018 from my back bedroom, I never imagined that one day we’d be recognised in this way. What began as a personal frustration (not being able to find activewear that fit properly as a 5’1” woman) has grown into a brand with a community of thousands of petite women across the UK (and beyond!) who finally feel seen and catered for.
Over the past six years, Avo has grown in ways I couldn’t have predicted. From launching our best-selling leggings, to recent pop-ups in John Lewis, to bringing our petite community together offline with our very first Avo Wellness event this summer.
Being included in the SmallBiz100 is more than just an accolade; it’s a reminder of why small businesses matter. We bring passion, innovation, and a personal touch that you don’t always find elsewhere. Small Business Saturday is a chance to celebrate that, and I couldn’t be prouder that Avo is now part of its story.
