Avo Activewear has officially won it's first ever award! We were named Small Business Winner 2025 at the Bristol Life Awards and I’m still pinching myself.
Being recognised by such a brilliant local platform, amongst so many inspiring businesses, honestly means the world. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day chaos of running a small brand, so moments like these really make you pause and go, "OK, we’re doing something right."
In true small biz fashion though, I actually missed the event due to illness (classic – the first award we’ve ever won and I’m at home in pyjamas instead of sequins!). But thankfully, Bristol Life got the award to me shortly after the ceremony.
And of course, I had to do something a bit special once I had it in my hands. So my husband snapped a photo of me holding the award in front of the actual Clifton Suspension Bridge, the very landmark it’s modelled on. Safe to say, that’s one for the memory box.
To everyone who’s supported Avo, whether you’ve shopped, shared, sent kind words or cheered us on from the sidelines, thank you. This win is for all of us. For the short girls who finally found leggings that fit, and for the little brand that dared to go niche.
